“(My Missouri visit) went pretty good,”   said Stickler.   “It went real good.   I was impressed by a lot of the stuff I saw, and I got to meet all of the coaches.    I got a full tour of all of the facilities, the school, everything from the equipment room to the weight room.    I was really impressed.    It was more than I expected.”

Stickler and his grandfather have been on a tour of college campuses the past week or so, and Stickler indicated after his Missouri visit that he’s finished with his visits.   His most recent journey had taken him to Georgia Tech, Florida State, and LSU for a series of camps, and then onto Mizzou.

“The coaches made a really good impression on me,”   explained Stickler, still speaking of his Missouri visit.   “I got a chance to sit down and talk to the O-line coaches, and then later on I got a chance to sit down and talk to Coach Pinkel………………………………………  Everybody was very friendly.   It was a real family atmosphere.”

Stickler is returning home to talk things over with his family before making a decision sometime within the next couple of weeks.   He’s up to eleven offers including Baylor, Connecticut, Florida International, Georgia Tech, Marshall, Missouri, South Florida, and Western Kentucky, among others.

“Right now, I’m undecided,”  explained Stickler.   “Missouri is still up there.   I’ve got a couple of schools that I’ve got to really think about where I would fit best.”

He’s narrowed things down to four schools that he is currently considering, including Baylor, Georgia Tech, Missouri, and South Florida.

Stickler said that distance from home will “not necessarily” be a factor in his decision.   He did say that conference affiliation is a consideration.

“Conference affiliation is something that I’m taking into consideration,”   explained Stickler.    “Right now, the two conferences that I’d want to be in are either the ACC or the SEC.”

Stickler plans to have a decision within the next couple of weeks.

“I’d like to know before I start my senior season, so that I can really focus on that,”   said Stickler.
