Suggs Talks About His Missouri Decision

Talented Washington (MO) 2015 wing prospect Ronnie Suggs made quick work of deciding on where he wanted to play basketball in college following his offer from the Missouri Tigers on Saturday. He spoke with about the details being his decision.

The Missouri Tigers have received a verbal commitment from SG Ronnie Suggs 6’6” 175 Washington (MO). Suggs is entering his senior year at Washington, but he is planning to attend a year of prep school, reclassify, and become a part of Missouri’s 2015 recruiting class.

Following his commitment to Missouri, Suggs spoke with and he talked about his decision to become a Missouri Tiger.

“I’m real excited,” said Suggs. “(Missouri) is the school that I’ve wanted to go to for a long time.”

Coach Haith has been recruiting Suggs throughout his high school career, and finally offered Suggs “last Tuesday” when Suggs was on campus for an unofficial visit.

Suggs is an athletic lefty who has been a double-digit scorer for Washington and the St. Louis Eagles. During his most recently completed season, he said that he made 82% of his FTs and “around 40%” of his three-point attempts. He also had offers from St. Louis, VCU, and Xavier, among others.

Suggs said that his plan to attend prep school for a year is to “get stronger” so that he’ll be more ready for when he arrives at Missouri. He hasn’t made a decision about which prep school he’ll attend.

He said that Missouri plans to utilize him as a “combo” guard. He said that his brother, Scott, encouraged him to choose Missouri.
