Mizzou Offer Has ATH Hoping To Se Up Visit

Big East Texas QB/ATH prospect Caleb Chumley spoke to ShowMeMizzou.com recently about his offer he received from the Missouri Tigers, and where things stand both between him and Mizzou, along the rest of his recruitment.

Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with East Texas 2014 QB prospect Caleb Chumley 6’6” 225 Longview (TX) Pine Tree, who confirmed that he has received a Missouri offer.

“Missouri and Oregon State are my best offers,” said Cumley, who said that he’s looking forward to speaking with the Missouri coach about setting up a visit to check out the Tigers.

Chumley currently holds offers from Houston, Jackson State, Kansas, Lamar, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, North Texas, New Mexico State, Oregon State, and Texas State, among others, in addition to Missouri. He’s also received interest from Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Oregon.

Chumley said that everybody is recruiting him as a QB/Athlete. He’s only played 3 games at QB, after moving from receiver late in his junior year. As a passer, he has very good overall athleticism, and a very strong throwing arm. He’s inexperienced, and unpolished, but he possesses exciting raw tools.

Chumley is a multi-sport athlete who also plays basketball for Pine Tree. He reports a personal best of 4.61seconds in the 40-yard dash, to go along with a 35” vertical jump. His current personal best in the bench press is 8 reps at 225 pounds.

Chumley’s recruitment is in its early stages. He doesn’t have a list of top schools or favorites.

“I’m interested in everybody,” explained Chumley.

He said that it will probably be after the season when he makes a decision.
