Brown Excited About What He Can Do For Mizzou

New Missouri commit Nate Brown spoke with following his commitment to the Tigers to fill us in on what was behind his ultimate decision to pick Mizzou, his excitement to join the Black & Gold family, and what's next for him.

On Tuesday, 2014 WR prospect Nate Brown 6’3” 210 Suwanee (GA) North Gwinnett made the announcement that he has committed to Missouri.

Brown chose Missouri over offers from Akron, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Louisville, Marshall, Middle Tennessee State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, UMass, UNC Charlotte, Vanderbilt, Western Kentucky, and Yale, among others.

Following his announcement, Brown took a few minutes to speak with about his decision to commit to Missouri.

“I felt like the visit just gave Missouri an edge,” explained Brown, who had visited Missouri for the Toledo game. “I mean, they impressed me a lot! Not to take anything away from Vanderbilt, because I had fun when I went up there, too. But I mean, I just felt like everything sort of fit when I went to Missouri. And I was comfortable about making the decision, too.”

Brown, who has reportedly been timed at 4.55 seconds in the 40-yard dash, said that he wants to major in business, marketing, or sports medicine.

He said that he’s done with recruiting.

“I’m one-hundred percent confident with my decision,” said Brown, who will take an official visit to Missouri after the season, and who plans to enroll at Missouri in June.

“It’s great to get a chance to just focus on football now.”
