Weekend Visit To Missouri On Tap For Williams

Missouri Tigers defensive end target and offer from the state of Michigan, Jhonathon Williams, spoke to ShowMeMizzou.com to fill us in about his upcoming plans to visit Mizzou, and update us on the very latest with his recruitment.

Missouri’s 45-28 road win over Indiana made a positive impression on 2014 DE prospect Jhonathon Williams 6’6” 237 Berrien Springs (MI), who told ShowMeMizzou.com that he and his mother will be visiting Missouri this weekend.

“I’m going to be going to Missouri this Friday,” said Williams. “I’m for sure looking forward to it…………………………………….. I can’t wait! I can’t wait!”

Williams, a former Toledo commit, currently holds offers from Ball State, Bowling Green, San Diego State, and Toledo, in addition to Missouri.

Williams is close to making a decision.

“Missouri’s a step above (other schools),” explained Williams, who went on to say that “there’s a strong possibility” that he’ll decide in favor of Missouri this weekend.

“I saw that beat down they gave Indiana,” said Williams, explaining his affinity for Missouri. “That kind of won me over.”

Williams has a good relationship with Missouri defensive line coach Craig Kuligowski. He liked what he saw from Missouri’s defensive line at Indiana.

“All of them, I mean (Missouri’s) whole rushing line is, I mean, they come as a unit, and they come,” said Williams. “I was like, wow! They definitely put pressure on the ball.”

Williams is already planning a return trip to Missouri for Homecoming.
