Missouri Back On Board?

The Missouri Tigers football program may have made a move on the recruiting front with one of their top targets for the 2014 football recruiting class. ShowMeMizzou.com has the info inside.

After receiving an early offer from the Missouri Tigers, and taking several unofficial visits to Columbia over the past year, it was a surprise when ShowMeMizzou.com reported in a video interview this past June with CBC OT Brian Wallace that he had eliminated the Tigers from his list of top 5 schools.

Not much has changed since then regarding Brian Wallace's recruitment, until recently, when Wallace's father informed me that Missouri was indeed back in the picture with the #2 prospect overall in the class according to ShowMeMizzou.com.

"Brian spoke recently with Missouri Coach (Josh) Henson. Mizzou is back on the boards. Brian said they are back in his top 5. More updates to follow," said the elder Brian Wallace in a message to me.

Wallace, who was named to the US Army All-American team, and will play in the US Army Bowl, had had a great senior season in helping lead his team into the playoffs.

Other top schools that he is also considering include Iowa, Arkansas, Nebraska,Alabama, Illinois,Georgia and Ohio State among others. A complete top 5 list was not given at this time. Only that Missouri was on it.

No official visits have been set yet. That information will be passed along when they are set up.
