Top JUCO Lineman Considering Missouri

Earlier this week, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2014 junior-college OT Avery Gennesy 6’5” 301 Southhaven (MS) East Mississippi Community College, who informed us that he has a Missouri offer. He talked about his interest in Missouri, and he updated us on the status of his recruitment.

“Missouri’s a good school, a good program,” said Gennesy, who is being recruited to play left tackle in college. “They’re a good team.”

Gennesy holds offers from a host of schools, including Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Ohio State, Baylor, Georgia, Iowa State, Kansas State, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, and West Virginia, among others, including Missouri.

Gennesy has already taken visits to his top schools, in Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Ohio State. The projected mid-year grad has one remaining visit, and he told ShowMeMizzou.com that he is considering taking his final visit to Missouri.

Gennesy said that he should know more about a potential Missouri visit in a couple of weeks. He said that he doesn’t have a definite date for a decision in mind.
