This week, the Missouri coaching staff is out on the recruiting trail, and ShowMeMizzou.com has learned that Missouri Assistant Coach Alex Grinch made a stop at DePaul Catholic in Wayne (NJ) to check in on 6’1” 200-pound senior safety prospect Kiy Hester . Hester’s head coach, DePaul Catholic Head Coach John McKenna, spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he confirmed Coach Grinch’s presence this week at their school, and he confirmed Hester’s interest in Missouri.

“We’ve known Alex Grinch for a while,” explained Coach McKenna. “He used to recruit here when he was at New Hampshire. Then, he went to Wyoming. And now, he’s at Missouri. He’s a good man! And a good coach, great recruiter.”

“(Kiy Hester) likes (Alex Grinch), and he likes Missouri,” explained Coach McKenna. “And, he likes the SEC, so he’s definitely considering them.”

Hester, who recently de-committed from Rutgers, hasn’t taken any official visits. According to Coach McKenna, Hester has visits “set” with Arkansas and Michigan State.

And according to Coach McKenna, Hester is also considering taking official visits to Miami, Missouri, Ohio State, and Vanderbilt.

“It could be (after Christmas when Hester visits Missouri),” explained Coach Hester. “It could be the last official, in January.”
