Mizzou Makes A Move To Try And Land Iheanacho

The Missouri Tigers are still on the prowl for top notch talent to add to their 2014 football recruiting class. Despite limited spots remaining, the Tigers have extended an offer to one of the fastest rising players in the country. Come find out his thoughts.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2014 WR prospect Frank Iheanacho 6’7” 210 Houston (TX) Westside, who confirmed that he has received a Missouri offer, and who talked about his interest in Missouri, as well as updated us on his recruitment.

Iheanacho is a basketball-player-turned-wide-receiver who saw his first real on-field action as a senior. And, everyone has taken notice! He has been selected to play in the 2014 U.S. Army All-American Bowl on January 4th.

Iheanacho holds offers from Florida State, Houston, LSU, Michigan State, Ole Miss, TCU, Texas A&M, and Vanderbilt, among others, in addition to Missouri.

He was just informed of his Missouri offer this week when he spoke with his lead recruiter, Missouri assistant Craig Kuligowski. Iheanacho said that Missouri’s been recruiting him “for at least two months”, since seeing his early-season senior video.

“They had been planning on offering me the next time we talked on the phone,” explained Iheanacho, speaking of Missouri. “Missouri’s a big school. They’re doing great, and they’re in the conference that I want to play in.”

Iheanacho is taking his first official visit to LSU this Friday (11/22/13). He said that he would also like to visit Missouri, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M, as well as a yet to be determined fifth school.

Iheanacho is really just getting started as far as choosing a school.
