Earlier this week, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2014 Missouri commit and TB prospect Ish Witter 5’8” 190 Tampa (FL) Alonso. Witter confirmed to ShowMeMizzou.com that he will travel to Missouri on Friday for his official visit.
Witter has been verbally committed to Missouri for nearly three months, and he’s looking forward to his visit. He told ShowMeMizzou.com earlier this week that he’s solidly committed to Missouri.
“I’m one-hundred percent committed to Missouri,” said Witter, who had an in-home visit with Missouri Assistant Coach Brian Jones on Monday. “My recruitment with Missouri is going well................................................... All the Missouri coaches are real good to me.”
As a junior, Witter rushed for 902 yards and 6 TDs, and he had 11 receptions for 117 yards. As a senior, Witter rushed for 850 yards and 10 TDs on 132 carries (6.44 yards/carry), and finished the season with 13 receptions for 246 yards (18.92 yards/reception) and 2 TDs.
He’s more quick than fast, and he has been timed at 4.53 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He has good vision and balance, and he has outstanding ability to change direction and accelerate out of cuts. His personal best in the bench press is 335 pounds and his maximum in the squat is 505 pounds.
Witter is academically qualified, and he’s on pace to graduate in May, allowing him to begin classes at Missouri in June.
“I’m very, very excited to get started at Mizzou,” said Witter. “I’ve seen the Tigers play a lot. I’ve watched them on TV.”
