Update On Williams And His Missouri Plans

ShowMeMizzou.com has an update with the latest regarding a Texas prospect who has the Missouri Tigers among his recruiting plans. Come inside for the latest on his recruitment and the Tigers.

ShowMeMizzou.com has learned that 2014 DT prospect D.J. Williams 6’4” 293 Lufkin (TX) has had to postpone his in-home visit with the Missouri coaching staff and his official visit to Missouri, which was scheduled for this weekend, due to a death in the family.

In a telephone conversation with Williams’ mother, she explained that her son would reschedule his official visit to Missouri for next month.

“We plan on coming to Missouri in January,” said Williams’ mother. “The Missouri coach was going to come here this week. I asked him if he would postpone that.”

Missouri had offered the big lineman more than six months ago, and he’s been pretty high on the Tigers for a while. In addition to Missouri, Williams holds offers from Kansas, Miami, North Texas, and Oklahoma. Earlier this fall, Williams took an official visit to Kansas. He’s also been to North Texas. It appears that Missouri will be his final visit.

“We’re going to visit (Missouri), and then he’s going to decide,” said Williams’ mother. “We’re going to come (to Missouri) and see.”
