On the second weekend in December, Missouri hosted a number of official visitors, many of whom were already verbally committed to the Tigers. One official visitor from last weekend who is not currently committed to Missouri is 2014 DE prospect Kennedy Emesibe 6’4” 235 Oak Hills (CA).

Following his visit to Missouri, Emesibe spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his Missouri visit, and he updated us on his recruitment.

Emesibe came into his Missouri visit with “an open mind”, despite not having a Missouri offer, which he said following his visit, may be coming soon.

“(My Missouri visit) was pretty cool,” said Emesibe. “It was pretty unique to go out there and experience a different college in a different state with different people. It was different. It was cool. It was exciting!”

I asked Emesibe if he could see himself going to school and playing football at Missouri?

“Yes. That’s a possibility,” replied Emesibe, who went on to say that he could see himself fitting in at Missouri. “I could see myself going there.”

I asked Emesibe if Missouri has offered him a scholarship?

“Unfortunately, no,” replied Emesibe. “They said they’re going to let me know soon. They do have a lot of interest in me.”

Emesibe does hold offers from Arizona, Arizona State, California, Colorado State, Mississippi State, San Diego State, UNLV, Washington State, and Yale.

And, he has an official visit to California scheduled for January 17th, and one to Mississippi State on January 24th. He also intends to visit Arizona State. “I want to take all of my officials,” explained Emesibe, indicating that his decision would probably wait until later in the recruiting cycle. “This decision is pretty hard, really! There’s so much to consider. I want to get it over with, but I want to make the right decision.”
