Missouri Checking Out Another Cali D-Lineman

ShowMeMizzou.com has identified and spoken with another defensive line prospect from out on the West Coast, who the Missouri Tigers football program has been showing some interest in lately. Come inside for all the details.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2014 DE prospect Austin Maloata 6’3” 260 Corona (CA) Centennial, who confirmed that he’s been receiving recruiting from Missouri.

“Missouri’s been talking to me lately,” said Maloata. “And, they came to a couple of my practices. I believe it was the Defensive Coordinator.”

Maloata is a soft verbal to USC. He said that he hasn’t heard from the new coaching staff, and that he’s decided to look around. He holds offers from USC, UCLA, Washington State, Miami, Mississippi, and San Jose State. He’s visited Washington State and UCLA.

“I’m planning to visit Missouri on either January 17th or the 24th,” explained Maloata, who said that Missouri has not yet offered him, but that they want him to come for a visit.

“They’re talking about me being a defensive end, or inside as a defensive tackle,” said Maloata, speaking of Missouri.

Maloata said that he’s been timed at 4.9 seconds in the 40-yard dash. He said that if Missouri offers, he’d be very interested.
