Fairchild Counting The Days Until Mizzou

Stilwell (KS) Blue Valley West 2014 offensive lineman Michael Fairchild visited Missouri a little over a week ago, has signed a financial aid agreement with Mizzou, and is counting the days until he enrolls in January. He spoke to ShowMeMizzou.com about it all and his future.

A little over a week ago, 2014 offensive line prospect Michael Fairchild 6’6” 286 Stilwell (KS) Blue Valley West signed a financial aid agreement with Missouri. He’s counting the days until he enrolls at Missouri in January.

Fairchild was one of several prospects who had taken their official visits to Missouri the weekend of December 13. Recently, he spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his Missouri visit, and he shared his thoughts about getting started at Mizzou next month.

“My visit went great! I really enjoyed it,” said Fairchild. “I got to meet a lot of the commits, and all of the players. It was really nice!”

Fairchild said that he and the other commits really got the royal treatment on their visit, including great meals that included surf and turf, steak and eggs, and other culinary delights. He said that he really enjoyed the time that he spent with the players.

“It was all really nice,” explained Fairchild. “I got to talk to the coaches a little bit, but I felt that the official visit was more designed around spending time around the players more so than the coaches……………………………………….. Clay Rhodes was my host. I also spent time with Evan Boehm, Sean Culkin, and Jason Reese, among others.”

Fairchild said that he expects to take 14 hours of classes during the spring semester. And, he’s looking forward to getting to work in the weight room during the winter conditioning program, and to getting on the field in the spring.

Fairchild played left tackle for West, a 5A semifinalist, but he probably projects on the right side, or more likely, on the interior, at Mizzou. He has the frame to quickly add good weight, and this spring, he’ll be getting his introduction into college football. And, as he counts down the days, he can hardly wait.

“I’m really excited about everything Mizzou,” said Fairchild.
