Texas Defender Considering Mizzou Visit

As college fans have long found out the hard way, nothing in recruiting is set until the LOI is signed and delivered. ShowMeMizzou.com has the very latest with a Texas defender who is considering a possible visit to Mizzou soon.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2014 safety prospect Kendall Adams 6’2” 207 Ft. Worth (TX) All Saints Episcopal, who recently received a scholarship offer from Missouri.

Adams told me that he’s still a solid commit to Kansas State, but that he expects to speak with Missouri Defensive Coordinator and Linebackers Coach Dave Steckel on Tuesday.

“I’m considering Missouri, but right now, I’m solidly committed to Kansas State,” said Adams.

I asked Adams if he is going to visit Missouri?

“That’s something that I have to think about, because if I visit Missouri, then Kansas State will pull my offer,” explained Adams. “So, if I visited Missouri, then I’d have to switch (schools).”

I asked Adams if Kansas State had really told him that they would pull his offer if he visited Missouri?

“uh-huh,” Adams answered in the affirmative.

In addition to Kansas State and Missouri, Adams reports offers from Louisiana Tech and Rice. He’s been verbally committed to Kansas State since July.

Adams also plays basketball and runs track. He reports a personal best in the 40-yard dash of 4.53 seconds, to go along with a 34” vertical jump, and a 4.1-second 5-10-5 shuttle.

He said that he’d have to make a decision about whether to risk visiting Misosuri sometime in the next week or so. He plans to discuss it with Coach Steckel on Tuesday.
