Latest Offer Has Mizzou In His Top Two

ShowMeMizzou.com has the scoop on the Missouri Tigers latest football offer for the 2014 class, and what that means with his recruitment and plans going forward with National Signing Day right around the corner.

Missouri has extended a scholarship offer to 2014 DE prospect Jay Ferguson 6’5” 223 St. Francisville (LA) West Feliciana. ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Ferguson, who confirmed his Missouri offer, and who filled us in on his plans to visit the SEC school.

“I’m going to visit Missouri on the thirty-first,” said Ferguson, who is currently committed to Louisiana Tech, and who will be accompanied on his Missouri visit by his mother.

Ferguson currently holds offers from Grambling State, Houston, Louisiana Tech, Memphis, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Southern, Miss, Tulane, and UCF, in addition to Missouri.

Ferguson said that Missouri and Louisiana Tech are the two schools that he is considering.

Ferguson said that Missouri Defensive Line Coach Craig Kuligowski had been by to see him on Tuesday.

Ferguson is currently playing basketball for his high school, and he reported a personal best of 4.70 seconds in the 40-yard dash, to go along with a 36” vertical jump.

He shared some of his thoughts about Missouri.

“I like Missouri,” explained Ferguson. “SEC East Champs! I’ll know more about it after I visit. It’s an SEC school. I want to take in the atmosphere………………………………………. I’m thinking hard on (committing to) Missouri.”
