Among the more than one dozen official visitors that Missouri hosted over the weekend were 2014 Missouri commit and safety prospect Thomas Wilson 5'11" 182 Buford (GA) and his twin brother, Terrance Wilson 5'10" 185 Buford (GA).
Following their visit to Missouri, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Thomas Wilson, and he talked about his Missouri visit, and he updated us on the status of his recruitment, as well as that of his brother.
"My Missouri visit was great, actually," said Thomas Wilson. "It exceeded all expectations. I'm just excited to be a part of this!"
Later, Wilson said of his official visit, "It was the greatest weekend of my life! It really was!"
Wilson said that the family atmosphere at Missouri really stood out to him. He talked about his interaction with coaches, players, and recruits.
"The family atmosphere, that's what it was exactly," said Wilson. "The players, the coaches, the people that work in the building, everybody……………………………………………. Everybody's cool. They're fun to talk to. They're great guys, and also great players. I'm really excited to be playing with all of them next year."
Wilson confirmed that he is solidly committed to Missouri after choosing the Tigers over offers from Georgia Tech, Illinois, Mississippi State, North Carolina, South Florida, Syracuse, Tennessee, UCF, West Virginia, and Wisconsin. He also reported to ShowMeMizzou.com that his brother, Terrance, has accepted a scholarship offer to play football at Buffalo over the option of accepting preferred walk-on status at Missouri.
Thomas Wilson is a versatile player who could play in the Missouri secondary or at TB or slot receiver on offense. He said that it doesn't matter to him what position he plays.
"No, it doesn't matter to me where I play," explained Wilson. "Wherever I can just contribute to the team." Wilson plans to sign with Missouri next week, and arrive on campus in June.
