Missouri Set For Big Junior Day

The Missouri Tigers are set to hold their annual junior day event in Columbia on Saturday. ShowMeMizzou.com gives a preview of some of the top prospects who will be attending the recruit meet and greet.

The Missouri Tigers will hold their annual junior day event today, as prospects from across the state of Missouri, along with Kansas, Illinois, Oklahoma, Kentucky and elsewhere, all coming  to meet with Tiger coaches, get a look at campus, and watch the Tiger basketball game.

Lee's Summit 2015 QB Drew Lock headlines the in-state talent that will in Columbia today. Lock has had a Mizzou offer for awhile now.

Lee's Summit West RB Ryan Williams is another recruit attending who has had a Tiger offer from some time now, and speculation is that he could be close to making a decision to join his former teammates Logan Cheadle and Kevin Pendleton in becoming a Tiger soon.

A couple of top prospects coming in today who do not already have offers, but may pick them up as early as today are Nixa RB Alec Murphy and St. Louis John Burroughs RB John Moten.

Moten has a couple of teammates in TE Nathan Van Slyke and QB/S Tre Moore also coming in.

Another high level athlete attending will be Francis Howell RB/WR/S Sutton Smith.

The speedy Smith has gotten the attention from schools such as Alabama, Tennessee, Florida State, K-State, Northwestern and others.

Webb City teammates Kiante Hardin and Dalton Ford, who just picked up his first offer from Illinois on Friday, will both be attending.

A couple of 2016 teammates of Ryan Williams, OG Boe Wilson and DL Marcel Minnifield will be attending.

The Tigers will be having multiple 2016 prospects in for the day.

Oklahoma S Will Sunderland headlines some of the out-of-state prospects who will be attending.

Several of the top prospects from the state of Kansas will be there today.

Blue Valley (KS) OG A.J. Harris will be attending along with Olathe North TE/DE Josh Moore, Bishop Miege QB Ryan Willis and Lawrence OT Scott Frantz.

Neighboring state Illinois has muliple players coming as well, with Springfield OT Quinn Oseland and Nazereth OL Jack Shutack.
