Missouri A "Great Offer" For Giella

On Tuesday, the Missouri Tigers continued their quest for quality offensive linemen by extending a scholarship offer to a rising 2015 offensive tackle prospect from the state of Georgia. We have his reaction and update on his recruitment.

On Tuesday, Missouri extended a scholarship offer to 2015 OT prospect Zach Giella 6’7” 300 Martinez (GA) Augusta Christian. Not long afterwards, Giella spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about the Missouri offer, his interest in Missouri, and he updated us on his recruitment.

“I think the Missouri offer is great! I’ve been very interested in Missouri for a while now,” said Giella. “The opportunity for playing time there is very attractive from my standpoint.”

Giella indicated that he would fit in well as a tackle in Missouri’s offense.

He’s been a starter since he was a freshman at the AAA school. He’s also lettered in basketball, track, and baseball for his high school. “I really like Missouri’s offense, their running attack, and how they run that spread,” explained Giella. “I really like their coaches, too! And, their offensive line was really dominant this year, and I like that.”

Giella said that his offer list is growing quickly, and currently includes offers from California, Duke, Kentucky, South Carolina, Mississippi State, Missouri, and Ole Miss.

He said that he doesn’t have a current leader.

Giella is going to visit nearby South Carolina “next week”. He’s planning to visit Missouri, but has yet to set a date for the 800-mile journey.

He said that he’d like to make a decision prior to, or early during, his senior season.
