Henderson Excited By Missouri Offer

On Wednesday, the Missouri Tigers continued their recruiting efforts in the Tampa (FL) area by extending an offer to Plant high school defensive lineman Kyle Henderson. He gave ShowMeMizzou.com his reaction to his latest offer and the Tigers.

On Wednesday, Missouri extended a scholarship offer to 2015 DT prospect Kyle Henderson 6’2” 280 Tampa (FL) Plant. A little later, Henderson confirmed the offer to ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his interest in Missouri, and he updated us on his recruitment.

“I’m really excited about the Missouri offer,” said Henderson. “I was talking to my friend, and I was saying how I was talking to Missouri, and I said how awesome it would be to get an offer from Missouri. And now, they’ve offered me. I was just ecstatic! It’s a blessing. I’m blessed!”

Henderson said that he’s liked Missouri for a while.

“I don’t even know why I like Missouri,” explained Henderson. “I just like the way they are. I like the way they play. I like the uniforms. I don’t know. It’s just cool.”

Henderson currently holds offers from Indiana, Mississippi State, Missouri, UCF, and Wake Forest. He said that Miami (FL) has been talking to him. He said that South Florida isn’t really recruiting him.

Henderson has posted a personal best of 4.9 seconds in the forty, to go along with a 4.5-second 5-10-5 shuttle, a 28” vertical, 335 pounds in the bench press, and 475 pounds in the squat.

He also throws for the Plant track team.

Henderson said that he knows 2014 Tampa-area Missouri signee, Ish Witter. He said that academics are an important consideration for him.

Henderson said that everyone is even right now, and that he’s considering every school that has offered him. He’s planning to take some unofficial visits this summer and make a decision before, or after, his senior season.
