Missouri has extended a scholarship offer to 2015 OG prospect Brandon Kennedy 6’3” 285 Wetumpka (AL). ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Kennedy, and he talked about his Missouri offer, and he updated us on his recruitment.
“I’m very excited to have an offer from the SEC, and from Missouri,” said Kennedy.
Kennedy currently holds offers from Jacksonville State, Marshall, Missouri, and Southern Miss. He said that Missouri is “by far” his best offer. He also expressed interest in in-state SEC schools, Alabama and Auburn.
“The Missouri coach told me that they really like my film,” explained Kennedy, who has a 4.0 GPA, and is already academically qualified. “And, they like my nastiness that I have. He said that they’re looking for an offensive lineman, and that I fit what they want.”
Kennedy reported a personal best of 5.0 seconds in the 40-yard dash, to go along with a 28” vertical, a 4.65-second 5-10-5 shuttle, and personal bests of 305 pounds in the bench press, and 505 pounds in the squat. He said that he used to play basketball, and was on the track team, but he’s focused solely on football now.
Kennedy said that he doesn’t know much about Missouri.
“But, I’m going to learn about Missouri,” explained Kennedy.
Kennedy said that he wants to visit Missouri this spring. And, he named Missouri as his early leader.
