LB From Texas Talks Missouri Offer

The Missouri Tigers focus on defensive talent for their 2015 class continues as they extend new offers to prospects in that class. has the take of a recent offer from Texas, and where his recruitment is at.

Late last week, reported that Missouri had extended a scholarship offer to 2015 LB prospect Richard Moore  6'1"  208  Cedar Hill (TX). spoke with Moore, and he talked about his Missouri offer, and he updated us on his recruitment.


"It means a lot,"     said Moore.   "Mizzou is a great school.    They had a great year this past year.    I mean, that's my first SEC offer, so that was big right there."


Moore also holds offers from Arizona State, Baylor, Colorado, Colorado State, Houston, Iowa, Oklahoma State, SMU, Texas Tech, and Tulsa, in addition to Missouri.   He said that he thinks Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, and Oregon State are all close to offering.


Moore said that he's not ready to name a narrowed list of schools.


Moore said that he receives a lot of mail from Missouri, but that he didn't expect the Tigers to offer him.


"I know that Missouri is just a really, really good football team,"   said Moore.     "I mean, Missouri's such a big school, I never thought they were going to offer me.   I would just read their letters."


Moore said that he ran a 4.62-second laser-timed 40-yard dash, to go along with a 36" vertical, a 4.4-second 5-10-5 shuttle, 290 pounds in the bench press, and 480 pounds in the squat.


"I just play with a passion,"   explained Moore, who is a very productive linebacker, and a very strong tackler.


"I'm just really excited about Missouri,"    said Moore, who would like to make a decision this summer.    "I'm excited to get up there and see what it's like."
