Kansas Lineman Plans Return Visit To Mizzou

ShowMeMizzou.com has the story of one of the top prospects in the state of Kansas' recruitment, including his junior day visit and interest in the Missouri Tigers, and what his plans are going forward.

Another Missouri Junior Day visitor is planning a return trip to Missouri to take in a spring practice. ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2015 OT prospect Scott Frantz 6'5" 285 Lawrence (KS) Free State, and the big lineman talked about his interest in Missouri, and he updated us on his recruitment.

"I visited Missouri for their Junior Day on February 15th," explained Frantz. "I'm going to go there for a spring practice. I haven't set an exact date, but I'm going to one of those practices."

Frantz currently holds offers from Kansas, Idaho, and Marshall. He said that Kansas State, Missouri, California, and Montana are all showing interest, and that he expects his offer list to grow before too long.

"Missouri seems very interested in me," explained Frantz, who named Missouri assistant coach Andy Hill as his primary recruiter. "He said that they like my film."

Frantz said that he's given up playing basketball this year to focus on football. He reported a personal best of 315 pounds in the bench press, and 465 pounds in the squat.

Frantz also said that he speaks with Missouri Offensive Coordinator Josh Henson.

"(Coach Henson) says that he thinks I'm going to be a really good player," said Frantz.

Frantz said that he's taking things in right now with respect to his recruitment. He did name Kansas, Kansas State, and Missouri as being at the top of his list right now. He had good things to say about all three of the local programs. He's also taking unofficial visits this spring to Kansas and Kansas State.

Frantz is taking things in and waiting to see who offers him before he'll be ready to make a decision. Frantz plays left tackle for Free State, but he probably projects as a right tackle or a guard in college.
