Mizzou In Strong Position For Georgia Safety

The Missouri Tigers continue to work hard and mine the state of Georgia for top flight football talent. ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with a talented defensive prospect from the Peach State, who tells us where Mizzou is in the pecking order of his recruitment.

Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with long-time Missouri offer and 2015 safety prospect Joshua Thomas   6'0"   203  Buford (GA) about his Missouri interest and his recruitment.

Like Missouri 2014 signee and Buford teammate Thomas Wilson, Joshua Thomas played on both sides of the football for the Class 3A state champs.     He said that Missouri is recruiting him as a safety prospect, and he's very interested in the Tigers.

"Missouri's a good school,"   said Thomas.    "I'm considering Missouri.     Thomas (Wilson) tells me about Missouri all of the time."

Thomas holds offers from Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Mississippi State, Syracuse, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Virginia, and Wisconsin, in addition to Missouri.

Thomas reported a personal best of 4.50 seconds in the 40-yard dash, to go along with a 38" vertical jump, and a 3.94-second 5-10-5 shuttle.

I asked Thomas what other schools besides Missouri he's considering?

"I haven't really been considering any other schools,"   said Thomas.    "I mean, probably North Carolina or South Carolina?   I've been looking at those two schools."

Thomas said that he's going to visit Missouri next week, but he wasn't sure what day.    He also said that he's not in any hurry to make a college decision, but that he definitely likes Missouri.
