Hilton Happy To Be A Tiger

After Webster Groves (MO) Safety Cameron Hilton broke the news to ShowMeMizzou.com about his commitment to the University of Missouri before the Black and Gold game, he spoke with us following the game about his big decision on the Zou field.

2015 Webster Groves (MO) Safety prospect Cameron Hilton spoke to ShowMeMizzou.com after the Black & Gold game about his decision to commit to the Missouri Tigers today.

"It feels great," said a smiling Hilton." I am so happy that I can't stop smiling. I am very happy with my decision."

Hilton said that he realized today would be a good time to announce his plans.

"I knew that Mizzou was a great place, and today I just realized that here is where I wanted to be. It's two hours from home, the coaches are great, and it's the SEC, baby! It's the best conference in college football, and I could not find a better offer or place to play football and go to school then Mizzou, so I told Coach Pinkel and Coach Ford, and they were both excited and happy to have me be a Tiger," said Hilton.

Checking in today at 6'1' 175 and with a self reported forty time of 4.6 from last summer, Hilton said the coaches see him on the defensive side of the ball as a Tiger.

"They said that I will play safety when I get here.  They like my speed and athleticism, and my playmaking ability. I have good ball skills and hands, plus I can cover a lot of ground. I am looking forward to it.'

Up next for Hilton, who chose Missouri over Indiana, Memphis and some others, is joining his team and preparing all summer for his senior season and a run at a state title.
