Mizzou Among Top Schools For Georgia Defender

The Missouri Tigers saw their success on the field in the SEC in 2013 translate to success in recruiting in the state of Georgia. It's no surprise they are back in familiar territory, and are doing well with a defensive lineman, who tells ShowMeMizzou.com the details of his recruitment.

Missouri has returned to familiar territory to extend an offer to 2015 defensive line prospect Quay Picou  6'3"  265  Buford (GA).   Buford is the Class 3A state champion and the home of incoming Missouri freshman Thomas Wilson.   Picou is the second junior from Buford to confirm receipt of a Missouri offer to ShowMeMizzou.com, teammate Joshua Thomas being the other.

Picou informed ShowMeMizzou.com that he had learned of his Missouri offer last week, not long after Missouri Assistant Alex Grinch had been by the school to check in on the talent-rich Wolves.   And, not surprisingly, Picou has a high opinion of Missouri.

"Honestly, I think Missouri is a great program,"    said Picou.   "They've shown up on the map lately.     You know, they've opened a few eyes lately, you know, playing in the SEC Championship against Auburn.     They've definitely opened my eyes!"

Picou reports currently holding offers from Cincinnati, Florida, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas State, Memphis, Miami, Mississippi State, Ohio State, Ole Miss, South Florida, Syracuse, Texas A&M, and Wake Forest, in addition to Missouri.

Picou said that Ohio State is one of his top schools, along with Missouri.

"I'd put Missouri two or three,"    said Picou.    "They can be right behind (Ohio State)."

Picou said that he's planning to visit Missouri this summer, possibly in June, and that he'd like to make a decision sometime this summer.
