Missouri Visit Being Planned By Athletic OT

The Missouri Tigers continue to recruit, and draw serious interest, from some very talented players in the Midwest that are interested in playing in the SEC. ShowMeMizzou.com has the latest regarding a talented lineman who is planning to visit.

Missouri has extended a scholarship offer to 2015 OT prospect George Brown 6’7” 265 Cincinnati (OH) Winton Woods. Recently, Brown spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com , and he talked about his interest in Missouri, as well as the current status of his recruitment.

Brown currently holds “around fifty” offers, including offers from Akron, Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, Boston College, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas State, Kent State, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Marshall, Miami (OH), Michigan State, Mississippi State, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Syracuse, TCU, Texas, Toledo, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Washington State, and West Virginia, among others, in addition to Missouri.

Brown said that Missouri is “recruiting him really hard”. He said that recently, Missouri assistant coach Cornell Ford came to his school to see him, and that’s he’s recently spoken to Missouri Offensive Coordinator Josh Henson.

“I like it that Missouri is doing great things on the field.” said Brown. “I just want to go there on a visit and check everything out. But, I really like the coaches, and I like the way that they’re playing on the field. And, I also know that their academics, and their graduation rate is pretty good.”

Brown is a multi-sport athlete who also plays basketball for his school, as well as AAU basketball. He reported a personal best of 4.9 seconds in the 40-yard dash. His maximum in the bench press is 315 pounds.

Brown said that he doesn’t have a narrowed list, but that he’s “mostly interested in SEC and ACC schools”.

“I’m definitely interested in Missouri,” said Brown, who is planning to visit Missouri “probably sometime in June”.

Brown said that he’ll probably narrow things down sometime next month. He said that Missouri will definitely be among his top schools.

As for a decision timetable, Brown said that he’s thinking of a final decision “probably closer to Signing Day”
