Heard Talks Missouri Trip

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with JUCO DE and Missouri offer Eddie Heard about his trip to the University of Missouri over the weekend. He fills us in on the latest with his recruitment, and when a decision will be made.

Following his official visit over the weekend to Missouri, 2014 DE prospect Eddie Heard 6’4” 240 Oakland (CA) Laney College spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his Missouri visit, and his upcoming decision.

“My Missouri visit went well,” said Heard. “I really liked it!”

“The best part of the visit was just being around the coaching staff and seeing how close-knit they are,” explained Heard. “You know, Coach Pinkel mentioned that in his fourteen years at Missouri, he’s only lost four assistants. So, what you see is what you’re going to get……………………………………… And, the campus is just a beautiful place!”

Heard also said that the slower pace of life at Missouri, as compared to California, is something that he could get used to.

Heard said that he’ll have a decision for Missouri assistant coach Craig Kuligowski when he sees him on Wednesday afternoon.

“I’ll have a decision on Wednesday, ” said Heard, who listed Missouri, Oregon, and Washington as the three schools he’s considering. “Coach Kool will be here Wednesday.”

Heard has already visited Washington. He’s not planning to visit Oregon.

Heard was hosted on his visit by Lucas Vincent, who graduated on Sunday morning. He also got to meet Markus Golden.

He said that the Missouri coaches liked what they saw of him, as well.

“They said that I don’t look like I weigh 240 pounds,” said Heard. “They just see my frame, and they said they see me (playing at) around 260-265.”

It sounds like Heard is very seriously considering Missouri.

“I think I’d look great in black and gold,” exclaimed Heard.
