2015 OT prospect George Brown 6’7” 265 Cincinnati (OH) Winton Woods took an unofficial visit to Missouri earlier this weekend. Afterwards, he spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about the Missouri visit, and he updated us on his recruitment.

“My Missouri visit went really well,” said Brown, who was accompanied on the visit by his mother and his younger brother. “I really liked it, actually more than I expected……………………………………… My mom liked it a lot. She liked the academics.”

Brown, who had said that Missouri has been “recruiting him really hard”, admitted that he had come into his Missouri visit with high expectations. He talked about what it was about Missouri that had exceeded his expectations.

“I liked the coaches a lot,” explained Brown. “They seemed real down to earth. I really like how their coaches have been with Coach Pinkel for fourteen years. Because that means that he’s a good coach, that they’re staying with him. The facilities were great. I just really enjoyed it. And, I had a good time.”

Missouri Offensive Coordinator Josh Henson has become heavily involved in Brown’s recruitment.

“Coach Henson was there,” said Brown. “I really liked him a lot!”

Brown currently holds “around fifty” offers, including offers from Akron, Arizona State, Auburn, Baylor, Boston College, Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Clemson, Duke, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas State, Kent State, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Marshall, Miami (OH), Michigan State, Mississippi State, North Carolina, North Carolina State, Ohio, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Penn State, Syracuse, TCU, Texas, Toledo, UCLA, Vanderbilt, Virginia, Virginia Tech, Washington State, and West Virginia, among others, in addition to Missouri.

Brown is interested in Missouri’s sports management program.

I talked to the academic people,” said Brown. “It seems like their sports management program is doing really well………………………………….. I really like that.”

Brown, who said that he’ll likely narrow things down some later this summer, is planning a return visit to Missouri.

“I like Missouri a lot! I’ll definitely be back,” said Brown. “I’ll probably come back for a game.”

Brown has indicated that he’ll probably make a final decision “closer to Signing Day”.
