"Right now I have been offered by Tulane, Tulsa, La Tech, Memphis, Houston, Western Kentucky, South Alabama, and Southern Miss," said Prevost. "I've been contacted and spoken with other schools such as Miami, Duke, Texas A&M, Missouri, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Mississippi State, Kansas State, and Cal."
With so much interest heading into the summer, Prevost says he hasn't yet narrowed his list in any way, though that's expected in the coming weeks. But one factor that won't play a huge role for him is distance from home, though it will impact his summer schedule.
"I am going to attend some local camps this summer and maybe some within five or six hours driving time, it just depends on my dad's schedule. But when it comes to making a decision, distance from home may factor in a little bit, but I want to find a school that's a good fit for me, no matter where it's located."
Of course Duke isn't within the requisite driving distance, and so a camp appearance may not be doable. However, the Blue Devils are certainly aware of Prevost and have been in contact more and more frequently.
"I have spoken the most with Coach Collins and Coach Montgomery. They have talked about how Duke is a growing program and how the education is world class. I feel like they like me enough to offer, and they've mentioned they really like the way I play the linebacker position and they like my speed."
"They've also talked about how the program has changed under the coaching staff. One of the letters I received talked about Coach Cutcliffe's time at Ole Miss and how he wants to continue to improve the Duke program every day."
With a decision not on the horizon, Prevost says he's spending the summer preparing to improve for his senior season at Archbishop Shaw.
"Really, I'm looking forward to just being able to play my senior year. I think we have the experience we need to be successful, but I know I need to be a more vocal leader as a senior."
As a junior Provost recorded 106 tackles with five sacks.
