Tampa WR Auden Tate Talks Missouri

Tampa (FL) Wharton 2015 WR prospect Auden Tate recently trimmed his list of schools down, and the Missouri Tigers are among those remaining. Tate spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com about his recruitment and interest in Missouri.

Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Missouri offer and 2015 WR prospect Auden Tate 6’5” 207 Tampa (FL) Wharton. He talked about his interest in Missouri, and he updated us on his recruitment.

“I like Missouri,” said Tate. “I like the way that Missouri throws the ball around a lot………………………………………. It’s kind of a receiver-friendly offense.”

Tate said that Missouri Assistant Coach Brian Jones came by his school this spring.

“Coach Jones said that he likes the way I high-point the ball,” said Tate. “I’m a big receiver. And, that’s what Missouri likes.”

Tate currently holds offers from Cincinnati, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Southern, Illinois, Kentucky, Louisville, Marshall, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Ohio State, Penn State, South Carolina, South Florida, UCF, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, and Wisconsin, among others, in addition to Missouri.

He reported a personal best of 4.63 seconds in the 40-yard dash, to go along with a 32” standing vertical jump, and bench max of 275 pounds.

Tate said that he doesn’t have any favorites at this time. He named Florida, Florida State, Miami, Clemson, and Georgia, in addition to Missouri, as schools that he’s considering.

Tate said that he’s already visited Florida, Florida State, South Florida, and UCF. He said that he’d like to visit Missouri later this summer.

“I’d like to set up some trips so that we can go see some schools,” said Tate. “But, we haven’t really finalized any of those trips, yet.”

Tate said he’d like to begin to narrow things down later this summer.
