On Wednesday night, 2015 PG prospect Tramaine Isabell 6’1” 175 Seattle (WA) Garfield notified Missouri assistant coach Tim Fuller that he was committing to the Missouri Tigers. Early Thursday morning, he told Missouri Head Coach Kim Anderson the same thing. After a busy Thursday doing interviews, Isabell spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about his commitment.
“I feel real good about my decision to become a Missouri Tiger,” said Isabell, who recently received a qualifying test score and will be enrolling at Missouri the first week of July. “I talked to Coach Fuller and Coach Anderson. They were really excited about me coming there. They wanted me pretty badly. I can’t wait to get down there.”
Isabell and his mother had taken an official visit to Missouri last week, and they both really liked Mizzou. Isabell said that a big factor in his decision to play basketball at Missouri is the opportunity for early playing time.
“They said that I can come in a play right away,” explained Isabell, who is an all-around talent who can score as well as distribute the basketball.
During his senior season during which he led his team to the Class 6A state championship, he shot 49% from 3-PT range and 83% from the FT line.
Friday is Isabell's 19th birthday. He's looking forward to the next chapter in his life, including getting started at Missouri.
