Keyes Excited By Missouri Offer

The Missouri Tigers continue their search for quality offensive line prospects to add to their 2015 football recruiting class. spoke with Louisiana OT prospect Marcus Keyes, who just picked up his Tiger offer.

It's clear that the Missouri Tigers are not finished working to land at least one more offensive tackle for the 2015 football class, possibly two. spoke with Port Allen (LA) 2015 OT Marcus Keyes 6'6" 261 4.9 forty this morning following his learning of his Tiger offer last night.

Missouri has really been talking to me since early June," said Keyes. "Coach Washington has been my main recruiter from there. He said he liked my film and loved the way I moved, and wanted me to come up for an unofficial visit the first time we talked. Then yesterday, he sent me a message saying that we love you and want you to be part of our team and program and join the family at Missouri."

Keyes seemed to feel pretty good about his latest offer.

"I am pretty excited about it! I was kind of surprised, but I kind of knew it was coming after my talks with Coach Washington. It's a a great offer. Missouri is a very good team and a good program that looks like it will be winning a lot of games in the future. I will not be able to take a visit this summer like I wanted to, but I am planning to take an official visit up there," said Keyes.

Keyes, who informed me that he also had offers from Houston, Southern Miss, UCF, South Alabama, Louisiana-Lafayette and McNeese State as well, said that he had a definite criteria he was looking at closely from a potential school he would be attending.

"Missouri is a big offer being an SEC school, but I will say all my offers are equal right now. What I am looking for in a school is graduation rates, how the coaching staff is, playing time, and distance from home. The big three are graduation rates, playing time and distance," he said.

Keyes described himself as a physical player who becomes a different person on the field who becomes mean and likes to hit people. He definitely has quick feet, long arms and moves and runs very well.

Keyes also plays basketball and throws shot and discus in track for Port Allen. will continue to follow his recruitment by the Tigers.
