Texas Lineman Has Tigers Near The Top

ShowMeMizzou.com provides an update of a Texas lineman who has strong feelings about his offer from the University of Missouri, and shares his plans with his recruitment and the Tigers.

Among the parade of offensive line prospects that the Missouri Tigers have offered for their 2015 football recruiting class is Katy (TX) OT Zach Lucas 6'5" 290 5.4 forty.

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Lucas recently to gauge his interest in the Tigers.

"I hadn't really heard from them at all except for some letter and fliers, until I received a message from Coach Kul that he was going to call me," said Lucas. "When he did, he told me that the coaching staff sat down and watched my video and liked what they saw from me and wanted to extend an offer to me."

Lucas, who has offers from Oregon State, Houston, Rice, Colorado, Arizona State and Iowa State, likes the thought of possibly playing in the SEC.

"I love the SEC and grew up an Alabama fan, so it's an amazing childhood dream to have the opportunity to play in the SEC with the Missouri offer. I am looking to get up there at some point for a visit and find out more, but just based on the offer I would say Missouri was among my top 3 schools along with Oregon State (my first offer) and Colorado."

Lucas went on to tell me that he has already visited Oregon State and CU which sets them apart.

He also knows what he is looking for most regarding his possible college decision.

"I would like to get out of Texas and go away to school. I really will just choose which ever school feels most like home," he said.

ShowMeMizzou.com will keep you updated on Zach Lucas' recruitment by Mizzou.
