JUCO Lineman Discusses Missouri Offer

Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with one of the top JUCO line prospect in the country for 2015, who spoke in detail about his Missouri offer, and where the Tigers fit into his recruitment.

Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with 2015 OT prospect Glen Bethel 6’6” 300 Yuma (AZ) Arizona Western Community College. Bethel was in Miami, a short stop-over while he was on his way to Arizona from his native home in the Bahamas, when he told ShowMeMizzou.com that Missouri has offered him. He talked about his interest in the Tigers, and he updated us on his recruitment.

Bethel said that he’s been speaking regularly with a Missouri coach.

“We just been talking to each other,” explained Bethel. “He tells me that they want me to come to Missouri and play left tackle.”

Bethel said that he currently holds offers from Florida, Florida Atlantic, LSU, Marshall, Miami (FL), Oklahoma State, Rhode Island, South Florida, Texas Tech, and Wake Forest, among others, in addition to Missouri.

Bethel is expected to graduate in December, and beginning in January, he’ll have three years to play two.

He named a top five of Florida, LSU, Miami (FL), Missouri, and Oklahoma State.

“Missouri’s one of my top five schools,” said Bethel, who said that he’ll likely take an official visit to Missouri this fall. “I’m not sure when. But I’m going to try to visit Missouri during the season.”

Bethel cited academics as important to him in the choice of a school. He said that distance from home was not a factor. He did say that the opportunity to come in and play right away is another important factor.

Bethel said that he’ll likely make a decision after the season.
