After he placed 6th in the final rankings among the Elite 11 QBs, Lock met up with his summer AAU basketball team in St. Louis, where he teamed up with 2015 Missouri target Jimmy Whitt and his KC Run GMC teammates for a runner-up finish at the Mullen’s High Profile Tournament.
“It’s been a crazy week,” said the Missouri commit. “I was thrilled to have done so well at the Elite 11 Finals. Not saying I was thrilled with 6th. Obviously, I wanted a better finish. But it was a great week!”
“I repped a lot of play-action stuff,” explained Lock. “You know, my high school, being in the spread, we don’t do much play-action from under center. I worked a lot on under-center drops. At Lee’s Summit, we don’t spend too much time under center. So, that really helped me. And, I needed to focus on staying level when I throw, and not popping up and down too much. That was a big thing from the coaches.”
ShowMeMizzou.com was at the Mullen’s Tournament and spoke with Lock about his busy summer in this exclusive video.
