Following his recent unofficial visit to Missouri, 2015 DE prospect Dare Odeyingbo 6’2” 242 Irving (TX) Cistercian took a few minutes to speak with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about the Missouri visit, as well as his interest in the Tigers, and he updated us on the current status of his recruitment, and his upcoming decision.

“My Missouri visit went great,” said Odeyingbo. “It was awesome! I got to meet all of the coaches, and basically went on a tour of the school. I got to see all of the facilities. And, I got to meet Coach Kuligowski, the defensive line coach. And, I talked to Coach Pinkel.”

“I really enjoyed my time with Coach Kool,” said Odeyingbo. “He said that he sees me fitting in at defensive end and rushing the passer.”

“Coach Pinkel said that they’re really excited about me,” said Odeyingbo. “And he said that they really want me on their team. They think I can be very successful at Missouri.”

Odeyingbo holds offers from Air Force, Boston College, Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas Tech, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin, in addition to Missouri.

“I really feel honored that a school like Missouri wants me to play for them, and go to their school,” said Odeyingbo.

He said that he's narrowed things down to Missouri, Vanderbilt, and Wisconsin. He’s visited Vanderbilt and now Missouri. It sounds like he’s getting close to a decision.

“Coach Pinkel said that he didn’t want to rush me into a decision,” explained Odeyingbo. “He said that he understands that I need to talk it over with my family and make a decision on my own. But, he said that he really hopes that I decide to come to Missouri.”

“Missouri’s a great institution,” said Odeyingbo. “Anyone that went there would be lucky to go there.”

Odeyingbo said that he feels that he has all the information that he needs to make a decision. It sounds like he’s going to decide between Missouri and Vanderbilt, although Wisconsin is still under consideration, as well.

“I’m just trying to figure out what’s best for me right now,” said Odeyingbo. “My family liked Missouri, too. But, they feel that it’s my decision to make, and that whatever I decide to do, they’re going to be behind me one-hundred percent.”

Odeyingbo said that he wants to choose a school before his senior season gets underway. He said that a decision could come within “days”.
