Mizzou Wins Opener 38-18

The Missouri Tigers took care of business in their 2014 season opener with a win over South Dakota State at the Zou.

The Missouri Tigers won their 2014 home opener against South Dakota State Jackrabbits 38-18 behind QB Maty Mauk's two first quarter touchdown bombs to WR Darius White of 44 and 39 yards to get the Tigers out to a 14-7 lead over SDSU that they would never lose. Mauk finished 13-21 for 178 yards and 3 TDs.

Mizzou also had big days from running backs Russell Hansbrough, who finished with 126 yards on 20 carries and 1 TD, and Marcus Murphy, whose 100 yard kick off return helped give the Tigers a jolt when they needed it.
