New Jersey LB Has Mizzou On Top List has the latest from a New Jersey defender who has picked up an offer from the University of Missouri. has learned that Missouri has recently extended an offer to 2015 LB prospect Saleem Brightwell 6’2” 202 Paramus (NJ) Catholic.

“My coach told me two days ago (that Missouri had offered),” Brightwell told “I just started talking to Missouri about two weeks ago. They said they like my film.”

Brightwell currently holds offers from Maryland, Michigan State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse, and Wake Forest, among others, in addition to Missouri

“Michigan State is my favorite,” said Brightwell, who insisted that he’s presently “very open” in his recruitment. “Missouri is in my top list, too. I like Missouri.”

Brightwell has taken an unofficial visit to Michigan State, and he plans to take an official visit to Missouri, likely after the season. He said that he’s focused on his senior season, and that he will likely wait until after the season to focus on recruiting.

Brightwell said that he hasn’t done any testing, nor attended any camps or combines.

Brightwell said that he played safety until he moved down to LB for his junior year. He said that he can cover as well as play the run.

“I love to hit,” said Brightwell.
