ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with recent Missouri offer and 2015 DE prospect Russell Ude 6’4” 262 Atlanta (GA) Westminster. Ude talked about the Missouri offer, and his interest in Missouri, and he updated us on the current status of his recruitment.

“The Missouri offer is cool,” said Ude, who indicated that Missouri assistant coach Craig Kuligowski is his primary recruiter. “Missouri’s a school that I’ve been communicating with for a while, now. So, I’m glad to have that offer. Coach Kool does a great job of producing NFL-caliber defensive linemen. So, it’s a great opportunity.”

Ude is an all-around defender. He said that he speaks with Coach Kool weekly. Coach Kuligowski likes his ability to play the run as well as his ability to rush the passer.

“Missouri said they like my pursuit to the football,” said Ude. “They feel that I can come in and make an instant impact.”

In testing earlier this year, Ude posted a 30” standing vertical jump. Previously, he posted a personal best of 4.83 seconds in the 40-yard dash.

Ude has a lot of offers. He named Boston College, California, Miami, Michigan State, Missouri, Oregon, Penn State, UCLA, and Wisconsin as schools in which he’s interested.

He’s scheduled official visits to Oregon, California, and Miami.

He’s not sure when he’ll visit Missouri, or when he might make a decision.

“I’ll probably visit (Missouri) during the season,” said Ude.
