Williamson: Things Good With Missouri

ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Missouri offer and 2015 CB prospect Adonis Williamson recently about his recruitment by the Missouri Tigers.

Recently, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Missouri offer and 2015 CB prospect Adonis Williamson 6’1” 180 Indianapolis (IN) Arsenal Tech, who talked about his interest in Missouri, as he updated us on the current status of his recruitment.

“Things are going good with Missouri,” said Williamson, who said that he speaks with Missouri assistant coach Cornell Ford almost weekly. “He tells me to keep up my grades. And he wants me to come visit Missouri.”

Williamson currently holds offers from Cincinnati, Indiana, Nebraska, Northern Illinois, Ohio State, Toledo, Virginia Tech, and Western Michigan, among others, in addition to Missouri.

Recently, Williamson named a top three of Missouri, Northern Illinois, and Virginia Tech.

When I spoke to him, he added Ohio State to his list of top schools.

“Missouri is still my top school, one of my top schools,” said Williamson, who went on to name his other top schools. “Virginia Tech, NIU, and Ohio State……………………………………… Some schools want me to play corner. Some schools want me to play safety.”

Williamson said that his high school coach wants him to wait until after the season to take his visits. The coach wants his player to be focused on the current season and not on his recruitment.

“He doesn’t want me to be all into it, and stuff like that,” explained Williamson.

Williamson said that he expected to see Coach Ford at his school during Missouri’s bye week.

“Coach Ford’s going to watch me practice on Wednesday,” said Williamson.

It sounds like Williamson's recruitment will continue beyond the current season.
