Missouri has extended a scholarship offer to 2015 corner prospect Tajuan “T.J.” Warren 6’1” 190 Conyers (GA) Rockdale County. Warren spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com about the Missouri offer, and he updated us on his recruitment.
“I love (the Missouri offer),” said Warren.
Warren said that Missouri had been recruiting him, and that he’s been talking to Missouri assistant coach Alex Grinch “since around the beginning of May”.
Not long after that, Warren had made a “quick visit” to Missouri.
“I went to Missouri on May 23rd,” explained Warren. “It was a quick visit.”
“I loved Missouri! The school’s in a nice setting,” said Warren, who intimated that he has family in the Ft. Leonard Wood area. “I like how everything was laid out. And, I like the facilities. It’s a nice area to be around. I can see myself as a Mizzou Tiger.”
“I was supposed to go to the Missouri camp on June 8th, but I couldn’t make it, because I didn’t have transportation,” continued Warren. Warren also holds offers from Georgia Tech and Indiana, in addition to Missouri.
Warren reports a personal best of 4.46 seconds in the 40-yard dash, to go along with a 36” standing vertical jump, and a maximum in the bench press of 240 pounds. He’s also on the Rockdale County track team, where he runs the 200 meter and 400 meter distances.
Warren said that he “likes to hit”, and he does offer the versatility of being able to play safety, as well as corner. He said that if he put on some weight, he could even play linebacker.
Warren would like to take an official visit to Missouri. He said that he’s likely going to commit to Missouri when he next speaks to Coach Grinch.
“When I talk to Coach Grinch again, I’m going to commit,” explained Warren.
