Over the weekend, Missouri hosted a trio of 2015 basketball prospects on their official visits, including 6’10” 220-pound center prospect Thomas Bryant of Huntington (WV) Huntington Prep. Earlier this week, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with Bryant’s Huntington Prep Head Coach Arkell Bruce about Bryant’s Missouri visit, and he updated us on the current status of Bryant’s recruitment.
“I spoke to Thomas (Bryant),” said Coach Bruce. “It’s crunch time for him as far as college decisions. He really liked (Missouri)!”
“He’s going to make a decision when he feels right,” explained Bryant’s head coach. “It’s between Missouri, Indiana, and Syracuse.”
Coach Bruce said that Bryant’s decision could come sooner or later.
“I don’t know. Some people are saying spring, or whatever,” explained Coach Bruce. “But I think it’s whenever he sits down and evaluates everything after his three visits. But right now, he just wants to concentrate on his senior year.”
Coach Bruce said that he hadn’t spoken to Miles Bridges and Curtis Jones, since the Huntington Prep juniors had taken unofficial visits to Missouri over the weekend. But he indicated that with the recent addition of former Huntington Prep founder and head coach Rob Fulford to the Missouri staff, the Tigers have a natural connection to the Huntington Prep program.
“Missouri has the ability to recruit anybody in the (Huntington Prep) program”, said Coach Bruce.
