Gardner In Line For Missouri Offer? has an update from an Ohio linebacker who camped with Missouri, and is hearing a lot from the Tigers

Recently, 2015 LB prospect Ferrod Gardner 6’1” 210 Trotwood (OH) Trotwood-Madison spoke with, and he updated us on his recruitment, as well as his interest in Missouri.

Last June, Gardner showed well at the Missouri one-day camp, where he posted a 4.55-second 40-time, to go along with a 38” vertical. Gardner plays a hybrid nickel back/OLB position for playoff bound 9-1 Trotwood-Madison, and he reported a maximum in the bench press of 315 pounds.

Gardner currently holds offers from Bowling Green, Georgia State, and Wake Forest. He’s been hearing from Kentucky and Missouri. He spoke to Missouri assistant coach Cornell Ford earlier this week.

Gardner said that Coach Ford told him that the Tigers are close to offering the athletic OLB prospect. And, he’s considering taking an unofficial visit to Missouri for the Arkansas game. But that depends on how far Trotwood-Madison gets in the playoffs.

Gardner said that he was at the Missouri/Texas A&M game a year ago. So if he’s not still playing at the end of this month, he’ll make his third unofficial visit (including the one-day camp) to check out the Tigers.

Gardner recently de-committed from Bowling Green, but he’s still considering the Falcons along with the other four schools mentioned. He said that if Missouri offers, he “might commit on the spot”. And, he’s hoping that the wait won’t be very long.
