Smith Planning Missouri Visit

The Missouri Tigers have done another terrific job in identifying and evaluating talent to target for their 2015 class.

Recently, spoke with Missouri offer and 2015 WR prospect JUSTIN SMITH 6’8” 210 Dublin (GA) West Laurens. Smith talked about his interest in Missouri, and he updated us on the current status of his recruitment.

“Missouri offered me a couple of months ago,” said Smith. “The Missouri offer is big!”

Smith also holds offers for football from North Carolina State, West Georgia, and Georgia Southern, among others. And he holds offers for basketball from Georgia, Kennesaw State, Mercer, Tennessee State, and Towson, among others.

Smith said that he’s “50-50 right now” on whether he’ll play basketball or football in college.

Smith identified Missouri assistant coach Alex Grinch, who recruited Tavon Ross from nearby Bleckley County, as his primary recruiter. He told that four months ago, he was timed at 4.58 seconds in the 40-yard dash. And, he said that his maximum in the bench press is 265 pounds.

Smith said that he has scheduled an official visit to Missouri for January 16, and that he has an official visit scheduled to North Carolina State for January 30.

Smith said that he’s leaning toward studying business or education in college.

“I like teaching kids,” said Smith.

Smith said that he’s wide-open in his recruitment at present, but he did say that he considers Missouri to be one of his top choices.

“I’m not really leaning toward one school right now,” explained Smith.
