Frazier Talks Missouri Commitment

Missouri Tigers latest commit talks about his decision to play in the SEC! has learned that junior college sophomore DE prospect Marcell Frazier 6'5" 255 Weed (CA) College of Siskiyous has verbally committed to Missouri.

“I committed to Missouri,” said Frazier. I’m excited about my decision, and the opportunity to play at Missouri. My parents are pretty comfortable with it. I mean, you can’t get much better than an SEC team who’s had back-to-back SEC Defensive Players of the Year that were defensive linemen. And then, the draft picks. You can’t get much better than that!”

Frazier chose Missouri over Kansas State, Nebraska, and New Mexico, among others. He said that he’s done with his recruitment.

He’s scheduled to take his official visit to Missouri on January 23rd. But he didn’t want to wait. He’ll sign with Missouri in February, and he will arrive on campus in June.

Frazier was still a little overwhelmed by the opportunity in front of him. He said that when he told Missouri Defensive Line Coach Craig Kuligowski that he was committing, Coach Kool told him that Missouri had checked out over one-hundred defensive end prospects, and that he’s the one they want.

"Coach Kool said that they’re pretty happy they got me,” said Frazier. “I went out this year and played my hardest every game. I guess the results took care of themselves.”
