Following the holiday break, ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with junior-college OT prospect Tyler Howell 6’9” 300 El Dorado (KS) Butler Community College about his recruitment, including his interest in Missouri.
Howell said that there really hasn’t been a change over the holidays in the status of his recruitment. He said that he likes Missouri, and that he feels comfortable with the Missouri coaches and players.
“I definitely like Missouri,” said Howell.
Howell is a long, lean athlete, a former basketball player from Bonner Springs (KS), who has been receiving an increasing amount of recruiting interest. He has been named to some junior-college All-American teams.
Howell sounded like he has eliminated Arizona State.
“I don’t see myself going to Arizona State,” said Howell.
He indicated that Missouri and Arkansas are both among his finalists. He’s not ready to add Georgia and Penn State to that list until he’s taken those visits, but he indicated that either or both of those schools could become finalists, as well.
Howell wants to take all of the time that he has until Signing Day to make a decision.
“It’s a big decision,” said Howell.
