2016 OL Offer Talks Missouri Tigers

With the 2015 class signed last Wednesday, the Tigers are in full class of 2016 mode.

Last June, ShowMeMizzou.com observed and reported on an impressive offensive lineman who was possibly the top underclass offensive line prospect at the second of the one-day camps at Missouri.

Now, ShowMeMizzou.com has confirmed that right before Signing Day, Missouri extended an offer to 2016 OT prospect, Matt Farniok 6’6” 311 Sioux Falls (SD) Washington. Farniok spoke with ShowMeMizzou.com, and he talked about the Missouri offer, and he updated us on the current status of his recruitment.

“The Missouri offer is awesome! I think it’s really cool,” said Farniok, who said he spoke with Missouri Offensive Coordinator Josh Henson. “I went to the Missouri camp last June. We looked at their indoor facility when we were there.”

Farniok currently holds offers from Iowa, Iowa State, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota State, Vanderbilt, and Washington State, in addition to Missouri.

Farniok said that he’d like to return to Missouri for an unofficial visit this spring or summer.

He said that he doesn’t currently have any favorites.

“Missouri’s probably one of the higher ones that I have offers from,” explained the big offensive lineman.

Farniok also plays basketball at Washington. He said he does have some idea of what he’s looking for in a school.

“I’m looking for a school with a strong football tradition,” said Farniok, “just kind of a cool college life, and academics.”

By tradition, Farniok explained.

“Just kind of a tradition of doing good, and turning out players (to the NFL),” explained Farniok.

And, he has something of a timetable in mind.

“I’m just looking at all of the schools that have offered me, in my research,” explained Farniok. “Then closer to summer, I’ll probably try to plan more of my visits. And then, probably late in my senior year, I’ll probably make my decision.”
