Simms Likes Mizzou Among Others

The Missouri Tigers did a great job landing the top talent from East St. Louis (IL) high school in 2015. There is more coming down the pipeline in 2016.

East St. Louis (IL) high school was good to the Missouri Tigers with their 2015 football recruiting class, as top national prospect Terry Beckner signed with the Tigers, and RB Nate Strong committed to Mizzou and will sign with them following junior college.

The talent pool has not dried up at East Side for 2016.ShowMeMizzou.com spoke with OL Tre'Vour Simms 6'5" 300 while at Beckner's signing ceremony.

Simms had an outstanding junior season and is hearing from multiple colleges already. He spoke about his season, his play and named some of his top schools so far.

"Our season had a lot of ups and downs, we worked hard to overcome it. We have to keep working hard and come back and win that state championship," said Simms." I personally had my high and lows, but overall I had a pretty good season. I need to keep working to get better.Every time I get in the weight room keep pushing. If you don't leave there hurting, you didn't do you workout right."

What schools is the big lineman hearing from early?

"I'm hearing from Louisville and Purdue a lot. I'm hearing from Mizzou, and Alabama a little bit. I am hoping to get an offer from all of them. Alabama is dream school of mine with all their success, so you hope to work and try and get that offer."

His thoughts on Missouri?

"Mizzou, you know is Mizzou. We have many of my former teammates going to Mizzou. It's a good school with a lot of success," he said. "I like them."

The first team All-Metro and All-Conference offensive linemen is suppose to make an unofficial visit to Missouri at some point, including possibly the upcoming Junior Day the Tigers will be having.

Simms is very athletic for his size and is very good at both his run and pass blocking. He has the ability to play either the tackle spot or move inside at guard in college.
