Latest Missouri Offer Shares His Thoughts

The Missouri Tigers have extended an offer to a recent unofficial visitor.

During this second week of Spring Football, Missouri hosted a 2016 OL prospect, Cameron Kolwich 6’5” 270 Orchard Lake (MI) St. Mary’s, on an unofficial visit. spoke with Kolwich while he and his family were on their way home, and the big lineman told us that he had received a Missouri offer earlier in the day.

“The Missouri offer is fantastic! It’s just amazing!” said Kolwich. “It’s mind-blowing how big of an accomplishment that is.”

Kolwich said that he watched Missouri practice on Tuesday, and then toured the campus and the business school on Wednesday.

“Today, I sat down with all the coaches,” said Kolwich. “And then, they offered me a scholarship.”

Kolwich also holds offers from Toledo and Western Michigan. And, he said that Northwestern is close to offering.

Kolwich said that he liked what he saw at Missouri.

“It was great to see what Missouri is all about, and to see them practice,” explained Kolwich. “All of the coaches are cool. They really know what they’re talking about………………………………………….. They did a great job (on my visit). They had it really well organized. I got to see everything. Basically, I’m leaving there with no questions. I already know about the school.”

Kolwich indicated that he likes the coaching stability that he saw on the Missouri staff. He said that he’s primarily been speaking with Missouri Offensive Line coach A.J. Ricker.

Kolwich is a former basketball player who will have to get stronger, but he has the length and the athleticism to be able to play multiple positions along the offensive line. He’s very physical, and possesses good flexibility, as well.

Kolwich said that he doesn’t have a current favorite, although it sounds like Missouri is currently his best offer. He’d like to make a decision this summer. Toward meeting that timetable, he’s planning to return to Missouri this summer to take another look. He did say that Missouri will be one of his finalists.

“Missouri is SEC,” explained Kolwich. “I’ll definitely be coming back to Missouri.”
